Türkiye'de bireysel emeklilik sisteminin cari denge üzerindeki etkisi

Abstract

Bu çalışmada Türkiye'de bireysel emeklilik sisteminin cari denge üzerindeki etkisi araştırılmıştır. Bu amaçla 2003-2019 dönemine ilişkin aylık bireysel emeklilik sistemi yatırım tutarı ile cari denge verileri kullanılmıştır. En güncel veri seti kullanılarak bireysel emeklilik sisteminde yatırıma yönlendirilen tutar ile cari denge arasındaki uzun dönem ilişki Pesaran, Shin ve Smith (2001)'in sınır testi yaklaşımı çerçevesinde araştırılmıştır. Kısa dönem dinamikleri ise hata düzeltme modeli kapsamında incelenmiştir. Elde edilen bulgulara göre cari denge ile bireysel emeklilik sisteminde yatırıma yönlendirilen tutar arasında uzun dönem ilişki söz konusudur.

This study examined the effect of the private pension system on the current account balance in Turkey. For this purpose, monthly private pension system investment amount and current account balance data were used for the period 2003-2019. The long-run relationship between the amount directed to investment of private pension system and the current account balance was investigated within the framework of the bound test approach of Pesaran, Shin and Smith (2001) using the most recent data set. Short-run dynamics were examined within the scope of error correction model. According to the findings, there is a long-run relationship between the current account balance and the amount directed to investment of the private pension system.
