Özet:
Üç bölümden oluşan bu çalışmanın birinci bölümünde menâkıbnâme türü tanımlanmış, Türk Edebiyatı'ndaki menâkıbnâmeler örneklerle kronolojik olarak aktarılmıştır. İkinci bölümde Şerif Muhammed Efendi'nin yaşamı, ailesi, mensup oldukları tarikat silsilesi, eserleri, Menâkıbu'l-Evliyâ'nın muhtevası, yazarın üslubu ve eserin nüshaları hakkında bilgiler verilmiştir. Çalışmanın esasını teşkil eden üçüncü bölümde, ?Menâkıbu'l-Evliyâ? transkribe edilerek ulaşılabilen 5 nüshası karşılaştırılmış, metinler arasındaki farklar dipnotta verilerek metindeki hatalar ve eksikler tamamlanmıştır.
This study is composed of three parts. In the first part, genre of legend hagiography has been described and legend hagiographies in Turkish Literature have been illustrated with examples chronologically. In the second part, informations were given about Sheriff Muhammed Efendi?s life, his family, the tariqa which he tend to and his works and Menakıbu?l-Evliya?s content and editions, the style he used on. In the third part of the study which forms the base, after Menakıbu?l-Evliya was written with transcription, and the acquired 5 editions were compared and the differences of the editions were shown in footnotes, mistakes and deficiencies in the text were completed.
